from the Chair of Department "Building Services Engineering"

Welcome to the Department of Building Services Engineering at the Munich University of Applied Sciences

We need energy for movement and to create warmth and light. The amount of energy we require ultimately depends upon the intelligence and efficiency with which we use it. Improving energy efficiency and developing renewable energy resources are new, global challenges. As a building services engineer, you can play a tangible role in finding solutions to these crucial issues.

We offer a Bachelor's programme and a Master's programme in the field of Building Services Engineering.

Degree specialisations in air conditioning and heating technology, sanitary engineering , and in energy management, environmental engineering, will prepare you for diverse and interesting fields of work – and a secure future.

The Master’s programme provides students with the necessary skills for challenging and complex project leadership and managerial roles at building services engineering companies.

The department has more then 300 students and each year 100 young people join us to pursue their studies - supervised by 12 full-time professors, 30 part-time lectures from the business world and the motivated staff. The members of department are highly engaged in research and development. Our close contact with companies in Munich, a recognised centre for high-tech development in Germany, means that students can gain real world work experience during their studies.

Last but not least, Munich offers a wide variety of cultural and recreational attractions, making our city an excellent place to live and study.
